My opinion: Liquid Glass

Apple has introduced a new material and design overhaul at WWDC25: Liquid Glass. I’ve read many opinions about how it looks, but honestly, I loved it from the moment I saw the first images and videos of how it looks/behaves.

Sure, there are bugs, like some buttons not being visible at times, but those will get fixed. What matters is that Liquid Glass gives iOS more personality than it had before.

What fascinates me most is how flexible, fluid, and responsive it feels. Previously, iOS and iPadOS have always felt a bit rigid. This feels more natural. It’s also made me realise how important a fluid interface is, whether in an app or on a website. Looking back at some of my past projects, I’ve noticed how lacking they are in this regard.

I can’t wait to try Liquid Glass for myself when the public beta comes!
